West Lodge

We are proud to support NC500

West Lodge is our privately owned holiday lodge situated half way up Scotland's longest Strath on the outskirts of the wee village of Scatwell, a small community surrounded by several forests. The building's origins date back to 1850 and has been modernized over recent years to incorporate more up to date facilities without losing the charm and coziness of a traditional Highland Gatehouse.

West Lodge comfortably sleeps 4 people and can accommodate up to 6 people, with off road parking for 3 vehicles and has an extensive private garden area of just under an acre.

Strathconon glen itself is a perfect location, as it brings not only the true feeling of being in the Highlands of Scotland but gives easy access to the City of Inverness and its airport (approx. 25 miles). It is also only a 30 mile drive to Ullapool to hop on a CalMac ferry for a day trip to the Isle of Lewis, and in just over an hours drive you can be on the rugged Isle of Skye. You also have easy access to the very best parts of the world-famous North Coast 500 route (NC500).

Strathconon is one of the most beautiful glens in the Highlands of Scotland and has a large deer population. Rarely a day goes by where they can't be seen. Strathconon has an abundance of history with many sites of historical importance nearby. There are a large number of forestry walks to tackle, with varying degrees of difficulty (for more information check out www.walkhighlands.co.uk).

West Lodge is an ideal retreat for walkers, climbers, kayakers, anglers, naturalists or simply someone looking to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Scottish Highlands. You can easily access both the East coast and the stunning West coast of the highlands from this base.

We hope that you can experience the magic of this little gem of the Highlands.
